There are many ways to enjoy our weekend for under RM20 such as hanging up with friends at mamak stall for whole day, play video games with friends using LAN cable and reading books.

Firstly, hanging up at mamak stall with your friends is one simple and enjoyable thing that you can consider with a budget as low as RM20. Besides of the variation of meal such as Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, Chicken Kurry, Dhal and etc., you can also enjoy the free service such as Wi-Fi’s hotspot and the satellite broadcasted TV shows from Astro because there are no limitations of time when you are in the mamak stall. The meal is also provided at a cheaper price when we compare with the fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut. Thus, having RM20 in the wallet is not a problem if you want to spent the whole 24 hour at the Mamak stall because it can cover your breakfast, lunch, dinner and even supper.

Besides that, if you have a computer and you are a games-addicted person, you also can enjoy the weekend with playing the video games. And one more, staying at the hostel is not as boring as you think, go get a LAN cable and you can play multiplayer games with your friends by connecting two computers with the cable. It is free of charge because we are not using any data and the network we are using is only between our computer and the friends’ computer. Playing games is the best way to release tension when you are very stress. It also makes the relationship between you friends better. See, with only RM10 for buying the LAN cable, we can enjoy our weekends happily with our friends

Lastly you can consider entering library as a way to enjoy our weekend. With a member fee that is at most RM10 and only be paid annually, you can read thousands of books in the library. Well, a book more cost a lot if we buy it ourselves, so the best way, be a member of a library, and borrow the expensive books that you don’t think you can afford to buy with your money. You can use your whole weekend sitting in one of the benches in the library reading the books that you like without anyone bothering you. Just, one thing, do go out when the library closes if you don’t want to be locked in the library. Reading book gives a lot of benefit and knowledge that we can use in our daily life.

In conclusion, there are many ways to enjoy our weekend for under RM20 such as hanging up with friends at mamak stalls for whole day, playing video games with friends using LAN cable and reading random topic books. Fill your weekend with enjoyable activities without losing a lot of money.

Essay : How to enjoy the weekend for under RM 20

NAME : CHEE PUI SAN

Weekend is the end of the week after along of tiring and exhausted days during working. On the other hand, in the California Family Law, weekends suppose to be a rotation or holiday time. Thus, it gives a golden opportunity for everyone to rest and enjoy their holidays. But the question now is,how we can spend our weekend wisely? As a teenager especially those who just freshly graduated from high school levels do spend a lot during weekend. We use to go shopping in the weekend to check out the new trend of clothing and style.Besides that,we also spend money watching movie in the cinemas and theaters. On the other hand, teenagers do love to waste money in karaoke with friends and having deluxe meals in hotels enjoying their weekend. Do you even realize that spending money in this way is actually very wrong? We can actually enjoy our weekend for just under RM 20 with our family by going to the park, having a picnic close to the mother nature and having a nice chat with our family members.

First of all,we can go to a park in the weekend with our family. We can walk around the park enjoying the tranquil atmosphere and get closer to the mother nature. Moreover, doing some exercises in the park is beneficial for our health. The most important is that going to the park does not cost any money yet it can foster family relationship.Furthermore,we can relax our minds after working for the whole weekdays with bunch of works.Inhaling the fresh air is somehow good for our health.

Secondly,we can have a picnic which close to the mother nature with our family. It does not cost any money.Just about RM 10 that we have to spend in order to buy some vegetables, sardines and eggs to make sandwiches to eat during picnic. Moreover,we can pack some fruits such as watermelon as refreshments which eventually refreshing our minds after a whole week of work.We could also foster our relationship with our family while enjoying the mother nature listening to the chirping of birds and the soft breeze blowing.

Last but not least , we can have a nice chat with our family members. We can share problems and solve them together rather than spending money on shopping. On the other hand,by doing this,we get to understand each other better and there are no secrets among each other. It does not even cost any money while can foster our relationship with our family by sharing laughter and tears together.

In a nutshell , we can enjoy our weekend just under RM20 by going to the park, having picnic and chat with our family rather than spending unnecessary money on shopping whereas we can use them during emergency. We should save our money for future use or just in case an emergency. No one would know what would happen in the future. Thus, as the saying goes, sharing is caring. Let’s save our money while enjoying our weekend!

RM 20 weekend extravaganza

PROGRAMME : Foundation in Engineering ( E & E )

Weekends is the time for celebration. Even in a tight budget, the excitement can still continues. It was a hectic week in UTP but we managed to complete all the tasks and assignments by Friday. Therefore, we decided to celebrate the weekends. Unfortunately, we were broke at that time. Nevertheless, RM 20 was our budget and no matter what happens, we are going to enjoy this weekend.

It was Saturday morning, our plan for today was staying at my cousin's house in Lumut. My cousin picked us up that morning, and the journey took around 45 minutes. Since my cousin's house located near a beach, we spend the evening by playing beach soccer and beach volleyball. At night, we bought some snacks and started a campfire near the beach. We were exchanging ghost stories and sang along some of our favourite tunes. We slept at around 2.00 a.m. and on the next day, my cousin will take us all back to UTP.

On the next day, we woke up late, which was around 1 p.m. In consequence, we skip breakfast and have lunch instead. Then, my cousin took us back to UTP and we arrived there around 3.30 p.m. Our activities on that evening was hanging out at the park. We managed to play kayak and after that, we went to the sport complex to play soccer. It was a bit tiring, but we managed to obtain free foods and beverages near the Mosque, since there was an event that was just occured right after we finished playing soccer. Perhaps luck was on our side on that moment because we really save our money on that evening. Next, we went back to our respective rooms by 6.30 p.m. and prepare for dinner.

We had dinner at V3 cafe. Fortunately, one of my friends happens to have a relative working at the cafe. Thus, our meal was entirely free of charge. After that, we bought some snacks and went to my friend's room for movie night. The viewing experience was spectacular since my friend was using a 27 inch desktop monitor equipped with high definition display and 5.1 channel surround system. Plus, we were watching a horror movie at that night, the thrill really got us all goosebumps at that night. We slept earlier than yesterday since all of us have classes tomorrow which are all first thing in the morning.

All the joy and laughter that all of us shared on that weekend was unforgettable. The best part of it was our budget, which was only RM 20. Who knew that RM 20 was enough to give us all an awesome weekend. Therefore, money cannot specifically gave you happiness. In contrast, It was the moment that shared together which was priceless.

One Man Band-Greed

In English lecture on Monday, I watched a short animated film from Disney Pixar entitled ‘One Man Band’. I detected one element from this story, which is a competition between two street musicians to get a coin from a little girl.

The story began when the little girl wanted to throw the coin into the fountain. When one of the musicians saw the scene, he tried to attract the little girl to give the coin to him by playing his instruments. The little girl was so impressed with the music and she almost gave her coin to the musician. However, another musician also wanted the coin so he played his instrument and performed his music to the little girl. The little girl got confused which music was the best. Both musicians were competing to each other to show who was the best and tried to attract the little girl. The little girl was scared by their action and dropped her coin into the drain. She became so upset and asked for the replacement from the musicians but they did not want to responsible. The little girl became angry and took the violin from one of the musician. She played the violin and fortunately, she got a bag filled with a lot of coin.

From this story, we should work together because it will help us to complete the lack of ourselves. We also should not be greedy in order to get something or else we will lose it.

How to enjoy the weekends with RM20

The long-awaited weekends has arrived and being a university student, what better way to enjoy it than going out to town with our friends. But, wait a minute, have you ever considered looking into your wallet? Shocked to find that it only contains two RM10 notes? Well, have no fear my fellow brothers and sisters, there will always be a way to steer ourselves out of this little trouble. Just ask your seniors for help with the transportation, find other alternative sources of entertainment, and find a game that everybody needs to give their share of money.

Usually, our seniors are willing to let us borrow their vehicles, provided that we take care of it carefully. One of the reasons why this is reasonable is because it is a cheap way to get a transportation because if we’re lucky, they might not charge us anything at all. This can also be very advantageous to those who are close or want to be close with the seniors. We can form a closer relationship with the seniors. However,we need to make sure that we take care of the vehicle carefully as things might get ugly if we don’t.

Besides that, the video games arcade is a good place to go to if you’re short on money and want to have lots of fun anyways. The arcade is an enjoyable place to go as it is very affordable.Usually, for every RM1,you will get two tokens. It is also good value for money. We can enjoy a variety of video games at one place. For those who are multiplayer maniacs, they can have a great time with friends by playing multiplayer arcade games. On top of that,we can also trade our winning tickets for prizes which in turn can be traded with our other friends. This will allow the bond of friendship to strengthen.

Moreover, playing futsal with our friends can also save us lots of cash while having lots of fun. Futsal courts are often situated conveniently in halls around the neighbourhood. This will prevent us from having transportation problems.Although the fees might be quite high but it can be shared between our group of friends. This activity will encourage healthy competition between friends while keeping our body fit at the same time.

As a conclusion, we can enjoy the weekends with RM 20 by asking a favour from the seniors to borrow their car, going to the video game arcade to have some cheap and a wide variety of entertainment, and have a great and fun time with the boys at a nearby futsal court. It is not about how much money that we have in our pockets but it is how we manage them.

The meaningful weekend with less than RM 20

What can we do with Rm20 during the weekend to have fun? There are a lot of things that we can do to have fun although just Rm20.Sometimes not even need to spend 1sen also able to have fun. Is depends on how we plan our activities to have fun. The most enjoyable weekend for me is studying, doing charity work and exercise.

A weekend is best to begin with egg, toast and tea for breakfast which only cost RM 5. Then, we must go to the revision about the topic we study in the week. This will help us to catch up with the topics and fully understand about the topics that taught by the lecturer. So that we will be able to get the best result in every examination.

Besides that, we must also do some charity work. This is great way to give back to society and improve mental health as we feel great when we help those that are less fortunate. This makes our weekend most meaning full and is fun. We can even donate a small amount of money. Even RM 5 will make a lot of difference for the poor and needy.

In additions, we can also do some exercise to improve our physical health. This is to help us release stress and meet with new friends. The types of exercise that we can do are badminton, jogging, basketball and football. After the exercise, we can have our dinner. That may on cost around RM 5 which enough for us to have a simple but great dinner.

Although just a few simple activities that will make weekend meaningful and help us to feel happy and able to spend money wisely. If we had proper planning, we won’t feel boring during the weekends even when we only have RM20 to spend. Money is not the key to happiness but is the activity we do.

WAYS TO SAVE MONEY

Since we are now in university, we tend to spend money on unnecessary things such as junk food and many others. Furthermore, we trouble our parents to deposit money into our bank accounts for our use. Cafes in the university are charging the food for a high price. Plus, the range of food price differs everyday eventhough we take the same food frequently. Students also prefer going out to eat than eating in the campus unless they have no choice. Students need to fork out money to rent cars to go out to eat or to go outing with friends. For instance we can try saving money by spending under RM 20 during the weekends. We have to learn many ways to do it such as reduce number of outings, limit money spent on a daily basis and eat moderately.
First of all, students should learn to reduce number of outings with college mates. We can go out with them at most twice a month since we are meeting each other almost every day. If we do go out, we must share the expenses together with the others because this is not fair for the person who forks out the cash. Plus, students should spend less money and spend more quality time with friends. When we are going out, try to find rented cars which are cheaper and make an effort to ask around to get a good price.
Students are encouraged to limit their spending on a daily basis. We should try to manage within the budget we have for instance by trying to use RM100 for a week in order to save money. Students should have self-discipline and try their best to control themselves from buying unhealthy junk food which will jeopardize their health. Students can pamper themselves once in a while to what they enjoy the most.
Students should eat moderately to maintain a fit body. A balanced diet should be kept for instance eating early and try their best to eat fruits every day. Most important thing is that students should not skip their meals for they may suffer from gastric problem. They should at least three meals a day so that they won’t feel hungry or sleep very fast and will be able to fully concentrate in classes. They should try a variety of food because definitely they will get bored of eating the same food at the same cafĂ©. Lastly, don’t spend too much money on food and drinks as there are more important things to spend on.
We can start off saving money by trying to spend under RM 20 during the weekends. This is because during weekdays we have limited time to spend our money unlike on the weekends. Learning ways like eating moderately reduce number of outings and limiting money spent on a daily basis can help save money so that we can use them when in need or emergency such as semester fee or book fee.

MONEY. Its involved with everything, which is why we can never have enough of it. This is a belief that I really believe in because it’s actually true. Now, in general, money isn’t necessarily needed to survive but in the world that we live in today it really is. However, the big issue isn’t what costs money its how people spend their money. Most of teenagers especially university students have the behavior of overspending their money as our parents are no longer monitoring us. At these times students tend to forget what is important and go on a massive spending spree. Most of the students are not able to distinguish their needs and wants. So we as student must be determined to overcome our problems by enjoying our weekends under RM 20. In my point of view, the best way to spend money wisely is compile a list of what you need and what you want, compare prices before purchasing and do not go out and spend all your money at shopping malls or pub.

First and foremost we as students should compile a list of what we need and what we want. Budgeting is a powerful tool most students don’t implement. If we don’t budget, we can never spend our money wisely. We should focus on spending only for our needs or basic needs, then most likely, you can spend within your money. Of course, you know what your basic needs like everyday foods, drinks, books, and others. First of all ask yourself, “ Do I really need this?” If the answer is yes buy it but if the answer is no then do not buy it.

Next we should compare prices before purchasing. For items that you buy  routinely, we should watch the advertisement and get to know  what good  prices whereas for items that you purchase less frequently do a price comparison. Do call or shop around to a few different stores. We as students can look online too but don’t  forget to figure in the extra costs of shipping and taxes.
Last but not least we as civilized students must not go out and spend all our money for shopping, movies and pub. We should limit or just quit drinking  altogether as it will save lots of money. We should take part in beneficial activities. Do go for jogging or swimming with friends as this can lead a healthy life style. Besides that, do watch online movies rather than going to cinema as this can save lots of money.

So spend wisely and discipline ourself will make us save our money. Be responsible and wise when it comes to money spending. In a nutshell, the best way to spend money wisely is compile a list of what you need and what you want, compare prices before purchasing and do not go out and spend all your money at shopping malls or pub. Lastly, buy quality instead of luxury and pay attention to what you do with your money on daily basis.

BEST DAY IN MY LIFE

I’m sure that everyone has a wonderful day in their life. As for me, I have many wonderful days and among those there is one day that I consider the best. It was on 23 March 2011. 7.00 a.m. in the morning I arrived at the Muar bus stop. As I step my foot there, many of those nostalgic memories came into my mine. This is where I have studied for two years. I have gain many knowledge and experience during my studies in Muar. Then I took a taxi to my former school because there is no bus at 7.00 am in the morning. When I arrived at my school, the first thing that I do is visit my dorm. There are many good memories that I treasured here. Then I get ready for the SPM award ceremony. At 10.00am in the morning, my friend and I gather at the main hall. We were very excited and in the same time afraid to receive our exam result. Then the moment I have waited for so long came. I took my result slip and I can’t believe my eyes that I actually got straight A’s. My class teacher congratulates me and told me to get ready for the award ceremony for those who get excellent result. As I was waiting with my friends, suddenly confusion reigned. One of my classmates can't find her result slip. And what more surprising is my class teacher found another slip with my name. I was too happy when I took the result that I didn't notice the teacher have mistakenly gives me someone else result. I’m grateful that I still get straight A’s and my result was better than before. I’m happy that all my hard work pays off. It was the best day in my life so far.
