WAYS TO SAVE MONEY
Since we are now in university, we tend to spend money on unnecessary things such as junk food and many others. Furthermore, we trouble our parents to deposit money into our bank accounts for our use. Cafes in the university are charging the food for a high price. Plus, the range of food price differs everyday eventhough we take the same food frequently. Students also prefer going out to eat than eating in the campus unless they have no choice. Students need to fork out money to rent cars to go out to eat or to go outing with friends. For instance we can try saving money by spending under RM 20 during the weekends. We have to learn many ways to do it such as reduce number of outings, limit money spent on a daily basis and eat moderately.
First of all, students should learn to reduce number of outings with college mates. We can go out with them at most twice a month since we are meeting each other almost every day. If we do go out, we must share the expenses together with the others because this is not fair for the person who forks out the cash. Plus, students should spend less money and spend more quality time with friends. When we are going out, try to find rented cars which are cheaper and make an effort to ask around to get a good price.
Students are encouraged to limit their spending on a daily basis. We should try to manage within the budget we have for instance by trying to use RM100 for a week in order to save money. Students should have self-discipline and try their best to control themselves from buying unhealthy junk food which will jeopardize their health. Students can pamper themselves once in a while to what they enjoy the most.
Students should eat moderately to maintain a fit body. A balanced diet should be kept for instance eating early and try their best to eat fruits every day. Most important thing is that students should not skip their meals for they may suffer from gastric problem. They should at least three meals a day so that they won’t feel hungry or sleep very fast and will be able to fully concentrate in classes. They should try a variety of food because definitely they will get bored of eating the same food at the same café. Lastly, don’t spend too much money on food and drinks as there are more important things to spend on.
We can start off saving money by trying to spend under RM 20 during the weekends. This is because during weekdays we have limited time to spend our money unlike on the weekends. Learning ways like eating moderately reduce number of outings and limiting money spent on a daily basis can help save money so that we can use them when in need or emergency such as semester fee or book fee.
